Is he staying or is he going? It seems like Alberto Aquilani will not be a Liverpool player for much longer as reports today suggest that the Italian midfielder is set to join Fiorentina with the two clubs having agreed a deal.

Now there seems to be some complications with regards to this deal. Firstly, we are not sure if Fiorentina have agreed to buy Aquilani our-right or they are taking him on loan? Coupled with this now is also a suggestion that Aquilani is demanding a €1.5million golden handshake to compensate for the lower salary he will be getting at Fiorentina.

Aquilani’s agent, Franco Zavaglia, is the one claiming that Liverpool and Fiorentina have reached an agreement but the player has not yet made up his mind, which boils back to the point of Aquilani not being happy with the wages he would be getting at Fiorentina.

“The agreement between Fiorentina and Alberto has not yet been reached,” Zavaglia told gazzetta.it.

“If we talk about an agreement, that was only reached between the two clubs, because Fiorentina (have not) come to any decision with us.”

So I guess now the final decision with regards to this move is up to Aquilani. If he leaves for Fiorentina, it would be a big loss to Liverpool as I know many fans would have loved him to stay on this coming season.

but Liverpoolfc must replace him by holding m.field to support or compete with Lucas Leiva or must be replaced by right wing;most likely E.Hazard.YNWA!!!!!!!!!

  2. Buddy says:

The sooner he goes the sooner we don’t have to hear from his agent, who can’t keep his gob shut or can’t make up his mind.

according to the agent Aqua man has..

never coming back to the club
Would like to stay in Italy but ok with coming back to LFC
Looking forward to coming back to LFC
Staying at LFC for the coming season
Now going back to Italy once wages can be sorted.

Believe when it happens, but if his agent could just shut up for 2 minutes I’d be happy.

  5. Hinks,Uganda says:

I don’t know why Liverpool coaches hate on Aqua, what are we gaining selling this fellow en we remain with Poulsen and Jovanovic? Gerrald has now become injury prone, what are we gaining when we keep on laoning him for over consecutive seasons? and this are the same coaches who never used Ryan Babel well

  6. Gerrardious says:

    Hinks are u 6yrs old

    Gerrardious,
Hinks probably doesn’t have English as his first language, I would have been more impressed if you had posted your comment to him in Ugandan,
About the report,I hope this is more hot air from his agent, letting Aqua man out on loan makes no sense, should use him or end this stupidity and sell him, use the money wisely, perhaps on a Ugandan/English Rosetta stone….
