There are a couple of top players across Europe whose contracts come to an end this season and they will be available for free transfers come the summer. We had looked at 7 players we thought may be potential Bosman signings for Liverpool but two of them have now just committed to sign for AC Milan meaning that Liverpool will miss out on them.

The two are Nigeria left-back Taye Taiwo and France defender Philippe Mexes. I am a bit gutted about missing out on Taiwo as I would have liked to see him at Liverpool and filling in at left-back. It is no secret that Liverpool need a quality left-back this summer and Taiwo would have been an ideal signing and we would have gotten him for free.

Whereas Mexes would have been a nice to have central defender to come in as cover and compete with the likes of Carragher, Skrtel and Agger but I am not too disheartened that he has opted to join AC Milan.

Hopefully Liverpool will be lucky and still be able to clinch a quality player on a Bosman this summer and save us on transfer fees.
