I would never have thought that Dirk Kuyt is the dressing room DJ at Liverpool. Honestly, of all the people, I would not think Dirk even has a good ear for music. But as they say, looks can be deceiving! For me, Glen Johnson looks more like a DJ than any other of the lads.
Dirk has now been instilled as the new dressing room DJ. “Ever since I’ve plugged my iPod into our music system and play the stuff I’ve collected at home for our games, we’ve not lost a game. I think we are all a bit superstitious as players,” said Kuyt.
“I took over from one of the lads and when they all like it, they let you be in charge. It is like taking a penalty. If you score, they all let you take the next one.”
What is interesting to note is the type of music that Dirk has on his playlist before the games: Kings of Leon, The Killers and Amy Winehouse.
