England edged past Denmark 2-1 in a friendly on Wednesday night. Three Liverpool players took part in that game, Glen Johnson, Daniel Agger and Christian Poulsen who captained Denmark. Agger gave Denmark the lead early on with a brilliantly taken header only for Darren Bent and Liverpool target Ashley Young to get the goals for England. Glen Johnson combined with Young on the right to set up the winner for England. Hopefully this will be a combination we will be seeing more of come next season.
