As we left our offices on Friday we were all pretty much dejected as we believed Roy Hodgson was still manager of Liverpool. Then we heard that his press conference was cancelled and we wondered why that was so. Only to see his interview on LFC TV on Friday night where there were no questions asked about his future at the club as he was quizzed about Sunday’s game at Old Trafford.

Saturday then arrived and I got an SMS saying that Roy Hodgson had been sacked! I rushed over to Sky Sports News to confirm this and it was true. Roy Hodgson had left Liverpool by mutual consent. YES! I rushed over to my local pub in celebration. This had been the best news I had heard in a while and to top it off, Kenny Dalglish had been appointed manager until the end of the season. This is what many Liverpool fans had been calling for and credit to The Fenway Sports Group for making this bold decision of getting rid of Roy.

Now with King Kenny at the helm we can hopefully look forward to a bright future. Even though we went down to Manchester United on Sunday, the signs are already there that we have made a positive change following the departure of Roy! Good luck Kenny!
