Caught the game, very impressive I must say, the attitude, spirit and desire to win the game was there from the start…. The team had a Rafa flavor to it, with Lucas starting next to Gerrard /Raul…

Liverpool's Fernando Torres (R) celebrates with Martin Skrtel (L) after scoring during their English Premier League soccer match against Blackburn Rovers at Anfield in Liverpool, northern England, October 24, 2010. Man of Match for BBR was Robinson, he made at least 3 saves that most prem keepers would have conceded. We had tons of shots on goal and not only the one as mentioned before. I really like this Raul character! He is not afraid to try new things and plays the ball forward a lot. Lucas had a good game covering for the other mids….still worried about Cole’s form….Kygragos was brilliant and he was probably our man of the match. A special mention should also be made regarding Maxi…. Think it was his best game in a liver shirt to date, absolutely wanted the ball more, did a lot of hard running between the lines and he gave us some width down the right. Torres took his goal well, 42 goals in 46 starts at Anfield! No one comes close to that record gents….more importantly his body language suggested that he is nearing fitness and he wants to slam for liver….(for how long, is another question).

I think we were really pumped for the game considering what Allardyce said about Liverpool being rubbish and all….boy is he eating humble pie!!!

Overall, good win….scoreline is deceiving and we should have won by at least 4.

Don’t feel too despondent gents, realistically if you look at the table, we are far off the pace in terms of standings, but not far by points. Top 4 finish is a very real possibility if the other teams keep drawing and losing around us. we win our next 2 games and all of a sudden we mid table with the rest of the season to go….and anything can happen then….let’s just hope we get our points before xmas break and push on for a top 4 spot come second half of season! YES, we won’t catch chelski, but I don’t think anyone else in the league can either….even with all their spending and signings thus far….
