After our inability to convert chances on the weekend against Spurs, I feel we really need Torres back in action. We had done so well up until now without our lethal striker but we need a player of such quality. Torres could easily have made the difference on Saturday from us loosing 2-1 to us winning 4-0. I just hope that he has fully recovered from his hamstring injury. Rafa says Torres may start tomorrow against Atletico Madrid or atleast he will get a place on the bench. There is no need to rush players back from hamstring injuries but the sooner we get Torres back the better.

Robbie Keane tried his best against Spurs but you could see that he is a player not in great goal scoring form. Kuyt was the player looking most likely to get us a second after his great first strike. It is a debate we have been having here for a long time; do we need another striker or not? Based on our lack of finishing over the last couple of games (Spurs and Pompey), I feel Rafa should try get another proven striker in January. Maybe Keane will come good and start to score a lot of goals for us but if he is not firing by January then something needs to be done. We need someone who can step into the shoes of Torres when the Spanish hitman is injured or rested.
