I do not mean to brag but this game was just too easy for us! We did not even need to step out of first game and like an Audi R8 we just cruised all the way for 90 minutes. The moment Kuyt got an early goal after 4 minutes, there was no way PSV were going to get back into the game. I must say I was disappointed with PSV as I thought they would offer us a greater challenge.

There were two key moments in the game. First: Robbie Keane’s first goal for Liverpool and what a great goal. This time, it was Torres supplying the cross for Keane and in typical Keane poacher style he just steered the ball into the bottom of the goal leaving the keeper with no chance. I do not think I have been happier for a Liverpool player to score than I was last night. My celebrations were close to those of us winning against Man Utd. It was important for Keane to get off the mark as was seen by how he was congratulated by all the players. It was also great to see the Keane celebration but he warned us that we would only see it once and he would come up with a new one for us. Well Robbie, I am sure you are going to score a lot more goals now so you better come up with a decent celebration.

The second moment was Stevie G’s 100th goal for Liverpool. I bet you Gerrard would have taken a tap in or a penalty to get to his 100 but Captain Fantastic does not like to do things the easy and boring way, he just had to bring out a screamer of a goal to take him to 100. In typical Gerrard style, he thundered home at 25 yard free kick which left the PSV keeper with no chance. What a way to get to 100. In cricket it would be like scoring a huge six that takes you to your 100 runs.

Now a lot of weight has been taken off the shoulders of Keane and Gerrard now that they have gotten their goals and hopefully they will start to play a bit more freely now than they have been in the last couple of games.

What I really liked tho about last night was that Rafa did not make many changes to the team that beat Everton, bar Aurelio in for Dossena. It looks like Rafa has found his ideal team and hopefully he will stick to it. But looking ahead to Man City on the weekend I can see Mascherano coming into the side inorder to break up Robhino’s play.

Conceding the goal towards the end may have been the only blimp of the night and it was rather a poor goal to concede. Carragher was angry with conceding the goal. I am not sure if he was angry with himself as the ball just sailed over him or he was angry with Skrtel for allowing the defender to get infront of him?

I think we are now cruising in the group and the battle will just be between us and Atletico to see who finishes top. Well played you Reds now lets go knock City over on Sunday!
