DISASTER
When I woke up this morning I saw every sort of report possible about our poor club.
“Arbeloa seeks return to Spain”
“Keans inches closer to Liverpool move”
“Villa doesn’t know LFC’s stance on Barry”
“Xabi seeks talks with Rafa about place”
Now after reading all those it just showed me that really there is not one thing set in stone about our club other than the bare bones or the “spine” of the club. However, a spine does not a creature make. It requires muscles, organs, blood, guts, character, pride, and so on and so forth.
I know I’m not telling you anything you haven ‘t heard before, but I certainly hope that this is the last time we find ourselves in a mess of this magnitude with so little time left before the start of the new season. At this point, who the hell knows if anyone will be joining the club other than those already there as of this moment. Even if they do, will they be players Rafa actually wants and believe in or cheap cut-rate options he is forced to place a wager on in the hopes that they may provide something useful.
My main issue in pointing all this out, is that last year a lot of people jumped on and off the Rafa bandwagon. Whether it’s for his rotations or not, we need to remember that for a club of our stature he is working with relative peanuts, and having more than passable success. I hope you’ll all join me in a collective prayer that DIC or even the devil himself buys us out, assuming they have transfer funds in hell. I just can’t handle much more of this maybe, possibly, you-never-know bs that we are being fed day in and day out.
My sympathies are with you all. Who knows though, maybe in a week’s time all will be well. I’ll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for swine flying past my shutters, you do the same.
