“There is no price at which we would consider selling Fernando Torres.” These are the words of Tom Hicks. For once the Liverpool co-owner has said something I agree with. It had been suggested that Chelsea are going to try make a world record bid of £50m for Fernando Torres but clearly, Liverpool are not willing to sell their prized asset.
It would be a different situation if Torres wanted to leave Liverpool then maybe there could be a chance that we could sell him but with the way he enjoyed his first season, I can not see him wanting to leave and for me, leaving Liverpool to go to Chelsea is taking a step backwards. Chelsea, under Scolari are going to be a team of super stars and we all know how a team filled with super stars rarely works; just look at how Real Madrid did with their Galacticos. Torres has found his new home at Anfield and he will be there to stay for many years.
