Reports this morning suggest that David Villa would turn down a big money move to Chelsea and rather play for Barcelona or Real Madrid. This news comes as a huge blow to Chelsea and also a blow to Liverpool. There was no mention that Villa would prefer to play for Liverpool which is a pitty as I was hoping he would be dreaming about playing at Anfield with Torres. But at least he will not be going to Chelsea. We can just continue to hope that somehow we can tempt Villa to come to Anfield and that the Yanks can finance the deal. Surely they can find £22m to spend on Villa. After all if they really want us to be the best team in the world, we have to buy world class players such as David Villa.
