John Arne Riise has finally completed a move to Roma. Riise was sold for £4m after having been signed from Monaco in 2001 for £4.6m. Riise served us well over the years and we will never forget some of the great goals he scored for us. It is  thought that John Arne Riise  could be headed to Roma this summer. Riise has been a great servant for us but his time at Anfield seems set to be over especially after that horror own goal against Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final.

I am sure Riise would be the first to admit that he did not have a great season and his form has been dipping over the last few seasons. I think it would be best for him to move on and try kick start his career again.

If we are able to get £5m for Riise that would not be bad business at all as it is clear that Rafa has to sell first before he is able to buy. But suggestions are that Roma have made a £3m bid for Riise. I think this bid is too low and we should hold out for no less than £5m.
