Liverpool could bid as much as €30million for Inter winger Ivan Perisic, according to Sportmediaset in Italy (reported by tuttomercatoweb).

The Croatian international played for Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund from 2011 and 2013 before being moved on to Wolfsburg for only €8million in the January transfer window of 2013.

He enjoyed more success at Wolfsburg figuring prominently in the German club’s first team during his time there, making 70 league appearances and scoring 18 league goals.

At the start of this season, the 27 year old was sold to Inter Milan for double what Wolfsburg paid for him a few years earlier. He has had a solid first season with the Nerazurri making 26 starts and nine substitute appearances and scoring eight goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.

He is mostly using in an attacking role on the left hand side of midfield but can play behind the striker or from the right hand side if needed. €30million does seem pretty steep for a player who was only purchased for half that sum 9 months ago.
