Lille winger Sofiane Boufal has confirmed that he will most likely be leaving the French club at the end of the season.

The 22 year old has been linked with a move to Liverpool and Tottenham in recent weeks and he told French newspaper L’Equipe he would like to depart on good terms and to play well in the final four league matches this campaign:

“Every player has the objective of going as high as possible in their career. I am an easy going person and all I want is to finish the season well. Of course there is more chance that I leave Lille this summer. This is clear in the comments from the coach and the president. I know what I want to do: move.”

Boufal did however say that if a move doesn’t materialise he would be happy to stay in France next season:

“I think first of all to play. I love this club, this city, where I have progressed. It would not bother me to stay here. If I’m sold for 1, 2 or 30 million, that’s not my problem. I only looks at the clubs.”

The Moroccan international has been in excellent form this season scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in 32 matches in all competitions. Lille are currently sixth in Ligue One with 52 points from 34 games played. They have a game in hand over those above them, and could close within 4 points of the Champions League places. Paris Saint-Germain have already won the title and have lost just two matches all season.
