Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is set to be out of action for up to one month according to reports. Lallana has picked up thigh injury and is most likely going to be replaced by Roberto Firmino in the starting lineup for the trip to Arsenal.

This news comes a blow to Liverpool and Lallana as he had started the first two games of the season for Liverpool and played a staring role for the Reds in pre-season. Lallana has been plagued with injuries since he joined Liverpool last season and there was hope that this would be his season to finally shine for the side but now it seems like we are back where we begun with his injury problems.

To be fair, Lallana has not played amazingly well in the games against Stoke and Bournemouth but Brendan Rodgers seems to have a lot of faith in the England international. It would have been interesting to see if Lallana would have started in tonights game even if he were fit.

Firmino seems to be the most likely candidate to come into the side to replace Lallana and there is no better stage for the Brazilian to make his mark in the Premier League than against a side like Arsenal.

lallana is a very talented player but with I personally believe it won’t help the cause of Liverpool to keep such injury-prones players like lallana and sturridge.
