Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling will leave the club this summer after feeling ‘bullied’ into contract talks, according to Sky Sports News.

Sterling’s future at the Merseyside club has burdened them for the most part of the season, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester City all linked with a cut-price summer move.

The Reds have been keen to agree a new improved and extended deal with the England international but talks have faltered after beginning around the turn of the year.

And, now, according to sources from Sky Sports – the winger is ready to call time on his Anfield future.

“Raheem Sterling will hold talks with Liverpool this week and inform them he wants to leave, ” the reports says.

“Sterling feels bullied into signing a new contract and feels the club have failed to protect him against negative headlines.

“Sterling feels let down by leaks of previous contract offers.”

Liverpool have since issued a club statement, saying: “Our position remains the same, he is not for sale.”
