Raheem Sterling has been the subject of much scrutiny ever since he turned down a £100,000-a-week offer from Liverpool. The rejection has sparked a wide variety of reactions from supporters, pundits, and writers around the world.

Many fans are angry at Sterling, while others are more interested in fantasising about where he may land next. As a result, there have been no shortages of transfer rumours surrounding Sterling, with the latest rumour being a swap between Aresenal and Liverpool involving two premium players.

The potential swap in players would include Arsenal sending a disgruntled Theo Walcott, along with £20M to Liverpool in exchange for Sterling, according to the Daily Star.

On paper, it makes sense. Walcott has become upset after losing his spot on the first team for Arsenal, while Sterling appears to want out of Liverpool, citing a concern that Liverpool will not be able to contend for Champions League eligibility in the future. A clean swap between the clubs seems like a sensible option.

However, while the rumour is nice to think about, there is no substantial evidence that this swap is actually in the works. In all likelihood, this is yet another Sterling fantasy rumour that has no real substance, although Arsene Wagner has shown a flair for the dramatic in the past.
