Brendan Rodgers has sent a scout to watch £20million rated Lazio star Felipe Anderson in action, according to the Daily Mirror.
Scout Paul Goldrick witnessed the 21-year-old in action during Lazio’s 4-0 victory over Fiorentina, according to reports in the Italian media.
Anderson played the entire 90 minutes as Lazio picked up three points to send them into the top three in Serie A, and on course for Champions League qualification.
The Brazilian has seven goals and eight assists in 23 appearances this season, and whilst he is contracted to Lazio until 2018, reports suggest the Serie A side could look to cash in if an offer comes in that exceeds £20million.
Manchester City and Chelsea have both been linked previously.
