Liverpool will host an all star charity month later this month, which will include two all-star line ups that include some of Europe’s finest players.
The event, which has been organised by Liverpool FC’s official charity, the Liverpool FC Foundation, will bring together two teams that will be selected by Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
The teams are set to include players that have been the most influential the pair have played with or against.
Player recruitment is underway, and so far some of the names to be confirmed include Luis Suarez, Pepe Reina, Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres, Dirk Kuyt, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba and John Terry.
The match presents an opportunity for fans to see Gerrard play alongside some of the clubs former heroes one final time, before he departs the club for LA Galaxy in the summer, with all the proceeds raising funds for the local community.
The event is set to take place on Sunday 29th March.
