Liverpool are set to recall Jordan Ibe from his loan spell at Derby County, according to the Derby Telegraph.

The 19-year-old has made 24 appearances for the Rams this season, with his five goals helping Derby to second place in the Championship table.

Brendan Rodgers has been keeping a close eye on the highly rated winger, and looks set to bring him back to Anfield for the second half of the season, with some reports going as far to suggest he will be a part of the squad that faces Aston Villa this weekend.

Derby boss Steve McClaren feared that Liverpool would come calling and last month said: “Jordon is on a youth loan, so we knew there was always a risk of that happening,

“The boy is developing and getting better. Liverpool can see that, we can see that.

“My advice is keep him here and develop him even more.”

Ibe has made two Premier League appearances for the Reds since signing from Wycombe as a 15-year-old in 2012.
