West Brom and Crystal Palace are both interested in signing Rickie Lambert, after Liverpool agreed a deal in principle to bring Divock Origi to Anfield this month, according to the Daily Mirror.

Lambert has struggled since his £4million move from Southampton in the summer, scoring just two goals for the Reds so far this season.

Liverpool are understood to have agreed to pay Lille another £3million for Origi – who they signed for £10million in the summer – in order to cut his loan spell short this month.

However, that agreement is based on Lille finding a replacement for the highly rated 19-year-old, who has scored six goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club this season.

Were they to do so, that would leave the foor open for West Brom and Palace to move for Lambert – with newly appointed Alan Pardew keen to be reunited with the player he managed at Southampton.
