Paris St Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi is the man Brendan Rodgers has identified as his top transfer target for January, according to various reports today.

The Argentine forward has struggled for regular first team football in the French capital, and was linked with a £16million move to Anfield in the summer.

And reports today suggest Rodgers wants to sign the 29-year-old for a cut price £8million this January to solve the Reds goal-scoring problems.

PSG manager Laurent Blanc is keen to offload the striker, after he refused to travel with the rest of the squad to Morocco for some warm weather training.

Former Italian sides the likes of Genoa and Napoli are understood to be interested, however Lavezzi is said to favour a move to the Premier League.
