Liverpool have registered an interest in Swansea striker Wilfried Bony and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to the Daily Mail.

The Reds are keen to add a new striker and a goalkeeper in the January transfer window, with the problems of Simon Mignolet and Mario Balotelli well documented.

No player has scored more goals than Swansea striker Bony over the course of 2014 in the Premier League, although the Ivory Coast international is set to cost more than £20million having recently signed a new deal with the south Wales club.

A move for the forward could depend on the departure of Fabio Borini, who has been made available for a fee of £10million.

The Reds are also keen to sign Cech on loan, with the Chelsea legend having dropped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season after Thibaut Courtois returned from his loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea do not see the Reds as competitors in the title race this season, so Jose Mourinho may well sanction a loan move for the 32-year-old, who is desperate to play regular first team football once more.
