Liverpool have been given a boost in their pursuit of Marco Reus, with the player’s agent denying talks over a proposed move to Bayern Munich, reports the Express.

The Bundesliga champions were seen as the heavy favourites to land the 25-year-old not so long ago, but now it looks as if a club from the Premier League is the most likely to win the race for his signature.

Liverpool still face competition for his signature from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, although Jose Mourinho said only last week he will not be making a move for the Dortmund star.

That increased speculation Reus had already begun negotiations over a lucrative contract at Bayern Munich, but the Reds have been boosted by words from the players agent.

Speaking to Kicker, Dirk Hebel said: “There are no negotiations between Marco and Bayern.

“There has never been any contact.”

if i were Brendon Rogers i would do everything in my power to sign Marco Reus ,then Shaqiri and Peter Cech/neto. Liverpool’s problems solved! They would uplift the spirit of the rest of the team.. And bring the best out of the young lads who find themselfs under to much pressure. I hope that BR has gave the point im making some thought. But yeah his the expert im thinking out load. . May we get back to winning ways and glory days! You’ll never walk alone!!!
