Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp admits that Liverpool target Marco Reus is likely to leave the club.

The 25-year-old  has established himself as one of the most exciting talents in Europe under Klopp, and has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich as well as the Reds.

And although Brendan Rodgers side face huge competition to secure his signature, they have been given a boost by the fact Jurgen Klopp admits he does not see the forward staying at the Westfalenstadion.

Reus has just 18 months to run on his current deal, and will see a £20million buy-out-clause activated at the end of the season – meaning Dortmund could look to sell for a higher fee in January given he has made it clear he will not be signing an extension.

“We had very successful years and we couldn’t keep all these players,” Klopp said on BT Sport’s SportsHUB.

“Not all of them stayed here.

“They had their own dreams their own situations different ideas, whatever. So we will see (about Reus).

“The most important thing is the story of this club will go on. We’ll have to do it with other players.”
