Bayern Munich are expecting to sell Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

The Swiss international recently revealed a move to the Premier League was blocked by Bayern in the summer, with Liverpool reportedly interested.

Shaqiri has grown frustrated with a lack of first team opportunties at the Allianz Arena, and Pep Guardiola is understood to have given the green light to a January departure, with the 23-year-old managing just 310 minutes of playing time so far this season.

It remains to be seen as to whether Liverpool will reignite their interest, with Shaqiri understood to be going for a price of around £20million.

Premier League rivals Chelsea and Tottenham have also been linked.
