Liverpool are set to battle with north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham for the signing of Spanish striker Fernando Llorente, after Juventus indicated they were willing to do business, according to the Express.

Juventus are ready to offer Carlos Tevez a new contract, whilst summer signing Alvaro Morata has moved ahead of Llorente in the pecking order in recent weeks.

Llorente is now 29 years of age, and with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2017, the Old Lady are aware the next two transfer windows are their best opportunity of making some serious money from his sale.

Reports of his imminent departure have gathered momentum in Italy over recent weeks, whilst reports in Spain suggest Atletico Madrid will rival the Premier League trio for his signature, with Diego Simeone keen to provide cover for Mario Mandzukic.
