Daniel Sturridge has suffered another injury setback which could keep him out of action for the next four weeks.

The 25-year-old has missed the Reds last seven matches in all competitions, and was in line to make a first team return in the game at Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

However. the England international has suffered a calf injury in training that looks set to keep him out of action for another month.

“He’s looking to be out for two to four weeks” Brendan Rodgers told theĀ Liverpool Echo.

“It’s a big blow as we were looking forward to welcoming Daniel back. He has worked tirelessly.

“But we have other players training hard and working hard and we will turn to them. It’s why we bulked up during the summer.”

Sturridge could yet miss Liverpool’s next seven matches, including the Champions League double header against Real Madrid.
