Spanish playmaker Suso looks set to leave Liverpool for AC Milan either in January, or on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to the Express.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Spanish club Almeria, and despite managing seven assists and scoring three goals, Suso has managed just one substitute appearance in the Capital One Cup this term.

He scored his first Liverpool goal in that appearance, but has since undergone an operation on a groin injury that is expected to keep him out of action for two months.

That could well mean that his goal against Middlesbrough proves to be his last act for the club, with Italian giants AC Milan keen to sign the youngster either in January, or on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Suso has entered the final year of his contract at Anfield, meaning the Reds may look to recoup some sort of fee for his services in January.

He said: “I will only renew with Liverpool if I’m guaranteed I’ll play regularly. The option is clear if I don’t renew: let me leave.”

Suso made 14 appearances for the Reds during the 2012-13 season at Anfield, but now it appears he will be gone within the next nine months.
