Mario Balotelli has shaken of illness to be fit for Liverpool’s clash with Aston Villa this evening, whilst Adam Lallana is also fit to make his Reds debut, according to the Express.

Balotelli was absent from Melwood on Thursday with an illness picked up earlier in the week, however Brendan Rodgers has confirmed the £16million signing from AC Milan is ready to make his Anfield debut.

Rodgers said: “Mario has had a bit of a bug that we wanted to make sure he didn’t spread around the group.

“But he’ll be OK for Saturday. I think he has felt the warmth of the club since he’s been here and I’m sure he will look forward to playing at Anfield.”

Lallana is yet to feature for the club since signing from Southampton for £26million in the summer, but the England international is tipped to start in place of the injured Daniel Sturridge, having trained with the first team all week.
