Liverpool have this evening confirmed that Portuguese defender Tiago Ilori has joined French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux on a season-long loan.
OurKop.com reported earlier today that the 21 year old was in Bordeaux and watched the French teams 4-1 victory over moneybags Monaco recently. It is understood that Ilori was also present at a training session before undergoing medical checks and signing on the dotted line.
Ilori made his solitary Liverpool first team appearance in a pre season friendly against Brondby having spent time last season on loan to Spanish outfit, Granada.
