Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday pleased Liverpool fans across the world, non more so than Liverpool owner John W Henry.

Following the Boston Red Sox’s World Series victory, Henry will be hoping to add to his sporting portfolio titles by claiming the Premier League crown. It may be too early for Liverpool to start talking about a title run this season but the signs are certainly there and we just need to take one game at a time.

The idea was always to see where we are after 10 games and we were still in touching distance from the top at that point. Now we need to see where we are come January to give us a realistic idea of our title chances. Finishing fourth still remains the Reds main priority for this season and anything else would be deemed a bonus.

John W Henry took to Twitter following the Fulham game and was full of praise, starting with acknowledging Brendan Rodgers for making ‘great adjustments’ as Liverpool switched from a 3-5-2 formation to 4-3-3 against Fulham and looked better that way as we attacked much more. If you look at Henery’s tweet below closely, you kind of getting the feeling that he was not happy with Liverpool playing defensively and would prefer them to be more attack minded.

Henry then went onto to mention how great a partnership Suarez and Sturridge are, and also praising Coutinho who was an absolute pleasure to watch on Saturday.

  1. I hope that John Henry will give BR more funds to buy better players.

I am glad to see us playing 433 again. The 352 experiment should not be used again. Coutinho is the key to our season. If he remains fit we will finish top 4. Need to get Suso back soon so he can cover for Coutinho. Would still like to see a world class central midfielder come in.

I can’t see 3-5-2 being a problem if we have really outstanding players out wide. At the minute we probably haven’t got em though.

  3. I wish BR to remain firm with the squad he use against Fulham and the formation 5-3-3, and to also take it that we have not start winning our matches, so as keep the fight tight than ever, Long live Liverpool fans. Long Live BR, Long Live John Henery, Long Live Livepool Team n Players.

Nice to know he’s taking an interest. I have lots of faith in Henry. Just look across the pond to what he did with the Red Sox. He’s got a plan in mind. If we remain in that top 4 after Boxing Day I think we’ll be set for the CL.
