Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Newcastle striker Demba Ba after it emerged that Ba had a buy-out-clause in his contract which is as low as £10million. This has promoted a whole host of clubs across Europe to try and sign the giant striker who has already bagged 15 goals this season for Newcastle.

With Liverpool short of options upfront, Ba has emerged as a potential target for Dalglish but according to talkSPORT, Ba has admitted that he is open to a move away from Newcastle but to French club PSG.

Asked whether he was open to a move to PSG, Ba said: “Yes, why not? It’s possible. I have always supported PSG. Also, it’s an attractive club. However, it will be difficult in January.

“I feel good at Newcastle, the fans like me. Also, the transfer window will be closed when I come back from the Africa Cup of Nations, so I’m not focusing on it.

“My first aim is the Africa Cup of Nations and to do well there. I will then continue to play well for Newcastle.”

Bringing in Ba and Kalou for under 10 Million for both would be a great bit of business and would give so many more options up top.

Would be a great signing for liverpool, but id think Ba and another striker should be brought in and caroll should be loaned back to newcastle for the season see how well he can do there.

I feel livepool need a left winger as downing is a load of crap lol, some1 like shaquri..played well against the mancs, but i feel these kind of transfers will be done in the summer

Carroll will come good, we overpaid for him but this should not take away from the different qualities that he can bring to the Liverpool attack.

I have been a vociferous critic of Carroll since he arrived but it beholds me to say that there was a marked improvement in his last game. His goal was reminiscent of his NUFC days at least. I am now holding fire as he MIGHT just come good in the next 3 or 4 matches. Well I am willing to wait… 🙂

Demba Ba should work but if I were Newcastle I would be pulling all the stops to keep him. Kalou would not enhance our squad significantly and I hope that nobody at Anfield seriously entertains any ideas about bringing him in. Another good option, on the other hand, from Ba’s old club (TC Hoffenheim) would be Vevad Ibisevic, a player who should improve our goalscoring significantly.

I keep repeating this from other blogs. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. A poor man’s Fernando Torres.
