Liverpool may have lost 4-0 to Spurs on Sunday but in the long run, Liverpool will benefit from Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp’s mistake of not signing Luis Suarez when he had the chance. Redknapp wanted to sign Suarez from Ajax before Liverpool did but Harry opted not to and he will live to regret that mistake in the long run.

“We looked at Suarez,” said Redknapp.

“That was a player who we probably should have took, looking back on it now.

“The fee was 30-odd million and that’s a lot of money and we thought he played a bit like Rafael Van der Vaart as well.

“We were looking for a target man but I have seen him play up on his own and he can do that. He can play anywhere. He can do anything. He is a top-class, fantastic player.”

  1. I was at the match on Sunday and as a Spurs fan pleased Tottenham did not sign Suarez. His body language was not good and his continual moaning to other Liverpool players was not good either. In a team where everything is going well he will look superb, but when he has to dig in I’m not sure he has the appetite.

Common man! He is a superstar, when things don’t go well anybody can get upset. He is a fantastic player and I love his winning personality. He would do anything to win. He would have been a gret fit for the Spurs.

Is this the best you can do? You get totally outclassed and all you can come up with is we’ll regret not signing Suarez? He is an irritable little cheat and Adam is an average thug. I wouldn’t swap a single player in our team with any of yours

Bite the bullet mate, we got outclassed by the better team, we didn’t deserve anything from the game. The ref was card happy yes but both players deserved to be sent off. Adam 2nd yellow alone could have been a straight red, Ive said it before Adam cannot tackle just like Scholes couldn’t and he loses possesion to easily. We will improve give it time and once Gerrards back we will be even better.

@Warehousewilly you talk about Suarez attitude what about VDV attitude? now that Parker n Modric are playing so well n Adebayor n Defoe where does VDV feature? he won’t be happy sitting on the bench, and the same can go for Adebayor when the chips are down he won’t show much fight for Spurs i rather have a player like Suarez who is hungry to win i love it when he’s angry it just shows what it means to him to win

Taraabt is one of my furtavioe players at Tottenham and I absolutely think he should get more appearances in the team. He is an amazing talent and I think that Redknapp needs to nurture him and bring him up to be the player he can be in the future. I think the same goes for Giovani dos Santos.
