Liverpool miss out on French International

One player that Liverpool had been keeping an eye on in a bid to sign him in order to add some steal to the midfield will no longer be joining Liverpool or any other team anytime soon. Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila who had been earmarked as a potential Liverpool signing this summer will be staying with Rennes as he has signed a one year contract extension with the team, keeping him in France until 2015.

The 20 year old who has been capped 8 times by France would have been a great signing for Liverpool as he is young and one of the hottest prospects in Europe which meets the criteria of players that Kenny Dalglish and FSG want. So for now Lucas is safe as no other player is coming in to challenge his place.
