[Video] “Liverpool agree deal to sign Newcastle star”

Liverpool have apparently agreed a £15 million deal with Newcastle to sign their left-back Jose Enrique, this according to Phil Thompson. Thompson spoke on a TV show saying that he believed the deal has already been done and Enrique will be a Liverpool player next season.

It is no secret that Liverpool need to sign a left-back this summer as we can not rely on Glen Johnson and Fabio Aurelio to fill in that role. Enrique is a decent left-back who is good going forward and solid at the back but is he the kind of signing Liverpool needs to be making?

I believe we can do better than signing Enrique at left-back and if Thommo is correct is saying that we have agreed a fee for him for £15 million then I think we have gotten a bad deal as there is no way Enrique is worth that much. What do you think?
