One of the highlights of Sunday’s win against Manchester United was when the whole of Anfield broke out into song and started to sing Happy Birthday to Kenny Dalglish. There is no other football stadium in the world you would expect to hear this besides Anfield!
Even Linda Pizzuti had to comment about this as she tweeted, “Big celebrations! Huge win. Loved that the Kop sang Happy Birthday to Daglish.”
After the match Kenny Dalglish himself was touched by the gesture the fans showed and he went onto to say that he does not think this birthday is going to end! Dalglish said, “I don’t know how long this birthday is going to last – I’ll be 70 by the time it finishes!” He got the ultimate birthday present with the win on Sunday.
