Great to have a podcast going.
I’d really love to highlight your assessment of Lucas and Insua. Both I think were spot on. Lucas has not got the natural confidence that a Gerrad had at 22. In my opinion he is building it up well in the face of some intense (and often unjust criticism). Insua has been performing well without ever lighting the world up. As you point out he is growing into the role of being a starter. He’s getting there though.
Your prediction on the Wst Ham result didn’t come true but you were right in analysis (except on Carlton Cole). We really should have won 3-0. Defence is an area of concern at the moment.
wrt. Carlton Cole. His physical attributes make him a challenge for almost every defence in the league. Though he doen’t always have the support or service to be a constant threat.
